Reflection on Psalm 93:1

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty;
the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself:
the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

The Psalmist pictures God as a King who not only is resplendent in majesty but also is powerful, supreme and above all kings. God is the one who established this world, and without Him it cannot be moved. In fact, God is the Creator of this world and He transcends time. His throne was established from eternity past. We are told in verses 3 & 4 that God is mightier than the forces of water, sea or flood.

Does it give us a sense of comfort and peace that God reigns all aspects of this world, this universe and our lives and is mightier than all kings?
