But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
— 1 John 3:17–18
This is a faithful saying…that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.
— Titus 3:8

These were the guiding Bible verses when Moriah first embarked on her “Care for Community Day”.

Our first “Care for Community” day was held on 11 July 1999. In conjunction with our anniversary celebration, we invited the needy in our community to have a meal with us and to present them with monetary and food gifts. Throughout the years, we had many opportunities to hold a number of these events by working with the Changi-Simei Community Centre and Resident’s Committee of Simei.

The "Care for Community" day and Care Ministry is an exercise and manifestation of Christian love in meeting the material and emotional needs of members, friends and society. We believe in upholding and restoring the believer as well as reaching out to the non-believer into the fellowship of God.
