About Us

Moriah Childcare and Development Centre, MCDC was founded in 1998. It was set up within the Moriah Bible Presbyterian Church premises at its level one with a spacious floor area of almost 836 sq m.

Since its inception, MCDC has been transformed in many ways from its physical setup, quality of staff with higher training to its teaching approach.

Our Vision

A preschool where young children feel welcome, accepted by their peers and educarers as well as look forward to have fun, purposeful and interesting learning experiences in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Mission

To build young children’s character, provide a conducive learning environment so as to stimulate their learning, enhance their motor skills, encourage free and creative expressions, provide socio-emotional security and enable them to enjoy one of their childhood
environments.

Our Professionals

The centre principal oversees the daily operation, guides and leads a pool of staff who are

  • well-qualified, trained and experienced in preschool education,

  • active and passionate,

  • warm, gentle, caring and dedicated and,

  • flexible, talented and creative.

Our Curriculum

Our 4-in-1 eclectic approach includes the Reggio Emilia creative expressions concept and project-based in addition to an integrated hands-on approach which covers all subject areas as well as a methodical inquiry-based approach for our preschoolers’ mastery of Early Science and Math skills.

With the concept of multiple intelligences, we also provide enrichment classes such as lego robotics, ballet, zumba and so forth after curriculum time to cater to their specific interests.
