And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (Heb 10:24–25)

The aims of the HCG ministry are four-fold:

  1. Build and strengthen the bond in Christ for mutual encouragement and support through regular gatherings.
  2. Equip with the truth from God’s Word for spiritual growth and perseverance in the Christian faith.
  3. Thanksgiving and intercession for one another, for the Church and the Body of Christ as a whole.
  4. Extend pastoral care and feedback for pastoral ministering and prayers.

Currently, there are 7 HCGs with different group profiles and programmes. With an average membership of 10 to 15 people (some including children) per HCG, the programmes vary from having special guests sharing with the group on communication, parenting, mission, etc., to topical studies on faith, parables and biblical marriage/parenting. In some HCGs, the children participate actively in the main HCG programme while other HCGs organise separate children programmes.

In a Church, there is always a need for closer fellowship to be fostered, particularly as we lived in troubled end-times. Many HCG members have been blessed with the Christian friendship, mutual encouragement, prayer and spiritual growth. This ministry has room for growth and aims to be an inclusive one for anyone interested in becoming a part of this ministry.
