Blessed are the Pure in Heart - Part 1

By singling out the Pure in heart, Jesus is saying that not everyone will see God clearly!
A clear vision of God comes from a pure heart. And the pure in heart is the 6th Beatitude in the progression, beginning with those who are poor in spirit, those who mourn over their own sinfulness, those who are meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness and those who are merciful. By the time a person gets to this 6th Beatitude, purity in the heart is what he longs for.

The Saviour came into the world because we have such impure hearts & corrupted affections that need to be purified.

Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24: 3 -4
