Psalms, John

The LORD is my Shepherd (Part 2)
1. “He leads Me beside the still waters”
“God, You have made us for Yourself and our souls are
restless & searching, until they find their rest in You…”
St. Augustine, an early church father.
2. “He Restores My Soul…” v2 Parable of the Lost Sheep in Luke
15:1-7
3. “He Leads Me in the Paths of Righteousness for His Name’s
Sake” 23:3 “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We
have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD
laid on Christ the sins of us all…” Isaiah 53:6
3 Questions to ask myself, in following Christ, the Good Shepherd
* Am I willing to accept whatever happens to me, in my daily
living, with an attitude of thanksgiving and contentment?
* Instead of insisting on my own way & preferences, am I
willing to submit to the Good Shepherd’s leading, knowing
that Christ knows what is best for me, all the time?
* Am I willing to love my Shepherd, above all else? That was
what Jesus asked of Peter in that heart-to-heart talk between
the two of them in John 21:15-19…
4. “Though I walk through the Valley…” 23:4
5. I Shall Fear No Evil, for You Are with Me … 23:4 “The LORD will
keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and
for evermore… “Psalm 121: 7,8
