Beatitudes, Sunday Service
Sermon Outline:
Meekness is not a natural quality, but a disposition that begins with a right view of oneself in the sight of God and translates into attitude and conduct towards others. It involves having power under control, surrendering our rights and privileges to Christ, and trusting in God's vindication. Meek people are blessed and will inherit the earth.
Questions for reflection:
1. What does it mean to be meek?
2. What could have produced meekness in our character?
What is the connection between this 3rd Beatitude, and the rest of the Beatitudes?
3. Why does Christ call meek people blessed?
What's the biblical Reward for meek people?
